A new deacon and babies all over the place!

There were no new requests this week, so I'm going to take the opportunity to post some photos of my brother's ordination this past weekend. Philip was ordained with 18 other permanent deacons at the Cathedral of St. Louis, King of France in New Orleans.

It's a little fuzzy, but here's the moment the Archbishop laid hands on Philip.

The following day, he served Mass at the Cathedral.  Here he is reading the Gospel.

And here he is baptizing our grandniece, Abigail.

As for babies, my own family and several members of the prayer list have welcomed new babies. Here are a few of them. Go ahead and send me a picture if you'd like your own included.
