I’d like to ask for prayers for the protection of my sister, Brigid. She’s an officer in the Army and was deployed to Turkey a few months ago. She is asking for prayers as there have been recent attacks close by her base. Thanks so much for your prayers! We’re praying and hoping that she comes home safely. Over the holiday weekend two local Catholic young men died. Patrick Werszner was a graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School and a student at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He was climbing at a cave and fell 100 feet to his death. The other young man, Chris Nelms, was a senior at John Carroll and died in an auto accident when he hit a tree and was thrown from his vehicle.
