New Requests

Will the person who just submitted a prayer request for her husband Tom please re-submit it giving your initials and location? If you submit completely anonymously, I have no way to track your request in my database--and I have no way to contact you personally. See the examples below.

Going to try this again, letting you enter your own requests as comments below. Please keep them brief and to the point: people will tune you out if you ramble--or worse, they'll unsubscribe and never look at the blog again. Go to the About/Sign Up tab to see what's acceptable for a prayer request.

Before I forget, though, I've wanted to tell you all that a member of our prayer list, Kathy in San Diego, went on a pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi with her husband and wanted us to know that they prayed for all of us and our intentions all along the way. Thank you, Kathy!

A coworker, Jim C. was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer which has spread to his liver and lungs, giving him only a few months left to live. Please pray for him and for his family.

Please pray for some children who were burned in a house fire this morning. (One of our pro-life sidewalk counselors has a connection to the family.) The eldest child died while the two youngest are in the hospital--the 5-year-old in very serious condition. Pray for their healing and for their parents and family members.

CF
Birmingham, AL
Cathy would like prayers for good results for her 6-month PET scan, labs, and oncology checkup after having been through breast cancer. She prays to remain cancer free.

TS
Kingwood, TX
The Stantons are quite desperate in their search for night nurses for their son Joseph. They've tried everything they can think of and need your prayers. If you'd like to read more, check out their Caring Bridge site here.

Now enter your own requests below. Try to keep your requests to 2-3 lines. Thanks!

Please pray for my Aunt Mary Lou who is going in for surgery to remove her gallbladder...the doctors think she may have cancer in her liver and along her abdominal wall...I ask for prayers that God's divine will be done in this situation and the doctors be guided by the Holy Spirit. Thank you

Just learned that "Leading marriage advocate and Princeton professor Robert George has been hospitalized with what is reportedly an aortic arterial dissection." He's been doing an excellent series on EWTN called Candidate Conversations with Robert George. (Look it up. Great interview with Ted Cruz.) We can't afford to lose good men like this!

I have a very difficult prescription for eyeglasses and I've already had my new glasses re-done 3 times and this latest version still doesn't seem right. Please pray that I can either get used to these (if they are correct), or that the next time they're redone will be the last time. Ask St. Lucy, patron of eye problems.

For 2.5 years, Mary Anne Nowak, has been in desperate need of a kidney. She is in kidney failure and on dialysis four times a day. Five times people have tried to donate but none have been a good match.

Potential donors should know that insurance would fully cover the procedure and no costs would be passed on to them. Mary Anne's doctors work out of Sharp Hospital in San Diego. She can be reached anytime at: 760-632-5426 or bunnykimhm@hotmail.com. If you can't donate yourself, please pray a match will be found.

Please pray for my niece's mother-in-law. She had an oral infection that went to her brain causing bleeding and unresponsiveness. They've done surgery but the doctors say there's a 70% chance she'll never wake up again.
